The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation’s (BBRF) mission is to alleviate suffering caused by mental illness, by awarding grants to organizations involved in mental illness research. We are excited to partner with this remarkable organization.
The BBRF’s grants aim for breakthroughs and advances in scientific research to help understand causes, and in turn improve treatments, for a wide range of mental illnesses. The Foundation’s administrative costs and fundraising efforts are done through outside grants, so 100% of all donor contributions for research go directly to the BBRF.
Since its inception in 1987, the BBRF has awarded over $408 million in grants, which have led to discoveries benefiting children and adults with mental illnesses such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and anxiety disorders like obsessive-compulsive and post-traumatic stress disorders.
