Wind River is proud to support CASA's work to advocate for abused and neglected children. Children are often the only people absent from court proceedings that directly impact them, and CASA is the only court advocacy program speaking up for these children. CASA stands in the gap to give a child a voice and promote their best interests in court.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Children’s Intervention Services (CIS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 advocating for child victims living in Fauquier, Prince William, Rappahannock, and Warren Counties and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. By advocating for abused and neglected children, CASA volunteers (called CASAs) give children a voice and a chance for a better life.
CASA CIS’ mission is to advocate for the best interests of each abused and neglected child referred by the county juvenile court system through the promotion and support of quality volunteer representation. We seek to ensure that each child’s needs are identified and addressed with the goal of providing each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home. CASA's vision is to have a world where all children who are abused, neglected, or abandoned are given a voice and the chance to thrive in a safe and loving home.
