In every direction, Wind River sent forth wind chimes this year to all those who listen for and love the wind. Wind River chimes could be heard singing in breezes from Oregon to Kansas to North Carolina and every state in between.
And along with the wind chime songs came your stories of how your Wind River chimes moved you and your loved ones this year – bringing joy, delivering peace, offering comfort during grief. Through every email, every phone call, every Facebook comment – we heard your struggles and celebrated your joys
We cherish hearing about every chime and all the ways they made your lives richer -- whether as a way to remember a loved one, celebrate a birthday, wedding or anniversary, or just as a way to help you slow down, relax and enjoy the beauty of the moment.
If you own a Wind River chime, you know it not only offers a soothing song, it also reminds us to slow down, and helps us recognize all the ways beauty arrives in our lives, if we pause to listen.
And of all the messages we sent to you this year, the one that resonated the most was the message of Everything Will Be Okay.
We all need to hear that, don’t we? It’s a simple message, yet it takes great faith to live with this belief because there is so much in life we can’t control. That lack of control can sometimes cause anxiety, which is why we need rhythms of beauty – like the calming tones of a wind chime -- to capture our attention, slow us down, and remind us of what’s true.
And believe it or not, a Wind River chime can help remind us of a gentle truth: that we can't control the wind, but we can create spaces where that wind makes something beautiful. We can't force peace, but we can hang our desire for peace where life's breezes might find them and make them sing.
We think that’s why so many of you – our community of fellow listeners, fellow seekers of beauty, fellow wind lovers – resonated with the message of “everything will be OK.” Because you’ve been taught by the wind, and the song it sings in your wind chimes, that even though we can’t control what comes, we can choose harmony no matter what. And even when life is hard, peace is possible.
So our wish for you this season is simple:
May your chimes ring often.
May you always have time to stop and listen.
And may you be inspired by the hope that harmony brings.
With all our best wishes to you and yours,
Wind River Chimes
